I’ll be the first in my family members to make an university degree, and that’s something I hold extremely close to my heart.
My family members and I moved to the United States in 2014 We selected Memphis as our second home to start fresh and build a better future.
When I graduated high school in 2020, I made a decision to join the Military Reserve so I could function full time to help support my family economically. Along the road, my moms and dads always advised me of the significance of a college level. Honestly, I fought with the decision between picking work over school.
That altered when I discovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I might gain my level 100 % online from an approved, across the country recognized Carnegie R 1 university. The adaptability of the program made it possible to balance work, life, and education. Once I enlisted, I understood I made the right choice.
As an online pupil, I stayed included with university life via profession fairs and joining student companies like the Culture of Personnel Monitoring. I wished to get the most out of my college experience and connect with individuals who shared my passion for human resources.
Last November, I released to Kuwait, with a month left of autumn semester. Many thanks to the assistance and framework of UofM International, I was able to end up solid, even making the Dean’s Listing. I’m taking four classes while offering on active duty, and I’m honored to state I’ll be graduating in May.
Being able to serve my country, support my family members, and gain my degree implies the world to me. I really feel ready to take on whatever comes next.
